The Library-Information Center of Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) is organizing an international scientific conference dedicated to the "Heydar Aliyev Year" within the framework of the "Reading Culture" project. The conference, which will take place on November 1, 2023 focuses on the applying of artificial intelligence in academic libraries, information systems and services and other related areas of library-information science.

At the conference, theses are accepted in the following directions:

  • Information literacy and lifelong learning
  • Document-Information management - knowledge management
  • Bibliometric evaluation of scientific studies
  • New library services in a digital world
  • Publication status of books and periodicals on current topics in librarianship/bibliography
  • New standards in the field of library-information work
  • New trends in library marketing
  • Organization and importance of PR in libraries
  • Open Science and libraries
  • Databases used in university libraries and their efficiency
  • Big Data and its use in libraries
  • Activities of hybrid libraries: realities and innovations
  • Artificial intelligence and smart libraries
  • Organization of a national electronic resource archive or electronic libraries
  • Organization of inclusive education in universities: "Voice" resources, talking libraries
  • Activities of library associations, societies and associations
  • International and local interuniversity library cooperation, document exchange
  • Social media trends in libraries
  • Open access to library resources and copyright

It is intended to accept theses that are empirically and theoretically researched in the mentioned directions, covering the best ideas and practices with current research and proposals, as well as applied issues related to the future perspective.

Working languages of the conference: Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian and English

Deadline for submission of abstracts: October 15, 2023

Theses drafting rules:

The title of the thesis should not exceed 10 words, in capital letters, bold font, 12 pt, font Times New Roman

Author's surname, first name, patronymic: bold, font size 12 pt, font Times New Roman

Name of the organization, city and country: in regular font, italics, font size 12 pt, font Times New Roman

Email address: regular font, italics, font size 12 pt, font Times New Roman

The text of the thesis should be 2-3 pages long and correspond to the theme of the conference, A4 format, *doc, *docx file format, font Times New Roman, font size 12 pt, 2 cm on each side, space 1, line spacing 1.5.

In addition to the language in which each thesis is written, there must be an abstract and keywords in two languages.

Abstracts should be written in up to 200 words, Times New Roman, 10 font, line spacing - 1.

A 5-word keyword should be provided (keywords should be listed at the end of the relevant summaries);

The number of the cited literature should be indicated in the text (eg [2]).

The list of references should be given at the end of the text in accordance with the rules of bibliographic description.

Abstracts that do not meet the scientific directions of the conference and the requirements of the organizing committee will not be accepted.

The materials of the conference will be published and the participants will be given appropriate certificates.

At least one of the authors must attend the conference, the abstract of the absent author(s) will not be published.
